Well, I was just putting my clarinet away after practicing, and while swabbing out clarinet, I accidentally scratched some of the finish on the outside of my clarinet with my metal mouth-piece protector I was also holding. I know it sounds like a really stupid thing to end up doing, but I was just being careless for a second, and then all of a sudden this happened.
Is there anything I can do about the scratch? Could a repairman fix it up for not too much money, or, am I pretty much stuck with it? Will it affect my tone?

A scratch or a crack in the clarinet won`t affect the sound as far as I know. It`s just a scratch.

Sorry about the scratch. But its just a scratch. I mean the ugliest looking instruments all rusted and scratched up can still sound great, depending on the person whos playing it. I wouldn`t worry too much about the scratch I don`t think it will affect you.
