I like Vandoren the best. Depending on what you were playing on before you might want to experiment with the strength of the reeds.

I`d have to say vandoren is best though it varys from person to person. Also experiment on the size of the reeds as well.

Good Luck

I play with Rico reeds because they are affordable, but I find Vandoren reeds are best. My music teacher agrees.

wellll you see it all depends imo. i use mitchell lurie #4 during marching band ecause they are cheaper, easier to play and let me play super loud without alot of sound distoriton. but you see in concert band where a warmer, healthier, sound is needed.. i used vandroen V12 #3.5. regular vandorens just dont cut it for me.. they have too much variation and most of them in a box are unplayable. the V12`s have a thicker base, and are more consistant. and they last a long time. but, they are more expensive. so its a trade off. to all who havn`tplayed on a V12 before... tryyyyy it. you`ll never go back to the blue box email me if youd like

Give Legere reeds a try. They are synthetic but ar consistant they cost as much as a box of reeds but you gets months of playing from one reed. Should be good for doubling because they don`t have to get wet. Still I have never found a reed I liked better than a good VanDoren V12.

Has anyone tried the Rue Lapec reeds from VanDoren?

Vandoren. But yes, I agree. It varies by prople and clarinets. My music teacher prefers Vandoren, too. I like the tone. It`s very round.
