Hi my teacher wants me to learn pieces with lots of high notes in them because i passed my first grade exam, but i can`t really read them very well any techniques to help me with this?

what do you exactly mean by high notes? above the break (B on the middle line and above), or altisimo (above the C above the staff 2 lines up)? I can play clarinet but hate any high notes. That is why I took a liking to bass clarinet. I love the low register (chealumeau), and also the high register above the break sounds just like a tenor sax, and it is great to play jazz on.

He means the one thats above the staff. Just get used to it. I played the piano and got used to it then, so I read it easily on the clarinet.

by the way i`m a girl domo is just a Japanese cartoon/toy i like ( to see what it looks like just look up "domo kun" on google)

higher high nothes I remember the amount of lines and eventually you`ll just learn where they are and be able to match them with fingerings but may not be able to name them. pratice alot and lesarn them because the clarinet seems more like it`s meant to play "high" than low trust me you get it with pratice.
