well.. im currently playing on E-11 (bought it last year) and well.. first time i played it... i wasnt really impressed.. or didnt feel a lot of change from my yamaha plastic (do not know the model)... well.. that yamaha clarinet is used by my friend... and recently found out that yamaha had a 5rv lyer on it
so i was thinking.. `oh cool` but.. its old.. the mark `5rv` is almost unreadable and found out that it is profile 88..
just had an audition for all southern california (hopefully.. ill get in) and.. any suggestions on other clarinets i should try on??

A whole new clarinet!? Why not just try some different mouthpieces? Then I would try M45 or 5RV (as you had before) both from Vandoren. But as so many other threads in this forum says, go try it out and get advice in a music store.
But if you really want a new clarinet buffet crampon RC is really great. But remember not to buy anything before you`ve tried it out and compared to others of the same model! If you have a bit more money to spend then try out Buffet`s Tosca as well. I havn`t tried it out yet but I really would try it out if I wasn`t happy with my RC!

an e-11 should be fine for high school.
if you want to go pro tou should consider the R-13 or the RC by buffet crampon.
