Hard case cause I am clumsy! I prefer a hard case, in a pochette style bag so I can carry music with it also.

I prefer hard cases. I find them much.. iunno.. nicer.

Talking of clumsy.. I fell ontop of my [hard] bassoon case last year. That.. thing.. was.. hard. I had bruises on my stomach for aages afterwards. Lesson learnt: never leave the clippy things on the case in the open position - they hurt.

That's what they make shoulder straps for people! Get a soft cover for it with a shoulder strap!!!

Soft case. There good cuz some come in funky shapes and sizes with convenient little pockets for stuff like cork grease and key oil etc. Also, does anyone know where I could get a cheap one? Mine broke...lol!

I have a hard case. I say it's much better for walking home. No one is gonna get me with my hard case in my hand. Haha. Honestly, I've never used or had a soft case. Hmmm!! I like my hard one though. It fits in my backpack. (Yes, it's a small hard case!)
