i am a clarinet but i also want to play flute would that mess my playing up and cant get high notes on flute but great on clarinet

im not sure exactly what you mean, but im a clarinettist who has also tried the flute. the embouchure is completely different on the instruments, so it shouldnt stuff you up too much. playing clarinet and oboe does tend to damage your embouchure though (so i hear)

also, to get high note on flute, you need to adjust your mouth, the speed of the air, and sometimes rotate the flute itself-- flutes use a system of 'over-blowing' to reach the high notes, using the same fingerings as the octave below..., as you know, clarinets have fingerings for notes, over-blowing tends to just lead to a bad sound (there are some exceptions though)

I didn't have any problems going from clarinet to flute. They both have different mouth positions, so it might be strange going from one to another, but I'm sure you will catch on quickly.
