Hi everyone! I`ve been playing five years and I`m looking into buying a new clarinet. At the moment I like the Buffet E-11. My question is this: If I buy the Buffet E-11 now, will I be too good for it by the time I`m a teacher? Will I need to buy another clarinet? Can a teacher get away with playing an intermediate level clarinet? Thanks in advance.

I think you can get away w/ playing an intermediate clarinet as a teacher. I know those colored things are probably student models and my teacher was using it,and he was good. The most helpful teacher, too.

uh...also, just to mention. i have an e-11, and the corks fall off all the time. don`t know if you already got it or not, but just a warning if you didn`t. hopefully, yours doesn`t have the same problem.

a teacher can play well on a e11.but a teacher will always want to improve him or herself`s tone quality where immediate clarinet have its limitation.so its up to you...

your choice might depend on the budget. down in australia a E11 is roughly $2000 and a R13 is $3500. i had the same decision to make and i went for the R13. if you can afford it go for the R13 because you will probably upgrade to one of them or something similar eventually anyway.
