by nature of playing you are sending warm air from your lungs into the instrument. This warm air causes condensation, which ends up collecting in the mpc, barrel socket, inside of the clarinet ... builds and drips down.
In the mpc area it is best to learn to build up the extra liquid in your mouth rather than send it into the mpc. I have no idea how to explain this .. just move spit around your mouth to find a place that it could sit .. between teeth and gums, lower part of mouth. Of course, at some point you would either have to swallow it or spit it out.
The key is making sure you don't allow spit (slobber) into the instrument.
