The 8th my 7th and 8th grade band went to our first ever band contest. Our band director Mr.Johnson teaches junior high and high school so we are the first junior high in gravette to go to a contest since 1975. We got a 2,a 3,and a 4. We played seringetti an african rhapsody, the tempest, and sandy bay march we only got a 4 because we screwed up the celebration part on seringetti. We also got a 3 in sight reading.

Haha, I had to play he Tempest in my eighth ade band. I didn't like tha one all too much. We entered a estival and walked out with an invite to nationals, although we didn't play that well. We were playing March Jubilante, Charioteers and Brother James' Air. We totally sped through March Jubilante, it was like 3 times as fast as we usually played it because a drummer got nervous. We don't even get to go to Nationals anyway becase our band teacher IS EVIL.
