Trombone and Clarinet?

My friend Rachel (at least I think she`s my friend... unless she secretly hates me. ANYWAYS) played bassoon and trombone last year, bassoon for concert and trombone for jazz band. I`m doing the same thing, except clarinet instead of bassoon. Her bassoon teacher made her give up trombone for tenor saxophone because he said that the trombone embouchure wrecked her bassoon one. There aren`t any troubles like this on clarinet and trombone are there?
Sry if that was sorta complicated,

Yes, it will be a problem. Last year, I played clarinet in one band and french horn in another band. My clarinet embochure got significantly worse, and so I got 4th chair at All State instead of 1st that year. It was horrible. Your case might not be nearly as bad, though, because the trombone mouthpiece is much larger than that of a horn, so it won`t be quite as straining. But if you want to be completely sure, you should definately go for a sax, as the embochure for any saxaphone is as closely related to clarinet as you can get. It just depends on what you`re willing to put up with. I hope I was of some help, and good luck!

Well THAT sucks. I think I`m going to have to give up trombone after this year anyways, but I guess since it was a great experience just to be able to play trombone so I guess I should be happy(?). The competition to get into the jazz band at the high school nearby is so hard, I don`t think I even stand a chance of getting in.
Thank you,
