I just bought myself the Finzi Clarinet Concerto yesterday, and it is really cool. Has anyone here ever played it?

No...I`ve never heard of Finzi. Is he or she very current? Of what nationality is Finzi?

Gerald Finzi was a 20th-century English composer. His Clarinet Concerto, op.31, was written between 1948-49.

Oh sweet...so he was kind of like a contemporary to Copland? I don`t know exactly when Copland`s Clarinet Concerto was written....Is it anything like it though?

I have only heard the Copland performed once, but from what I remember it was different from the Finzi. Finzi was a very English composer, and the Copland Concerto to me has more of that American feel to it. The concert is quite tunefull, has been described as having a pastorale feel, and covers a wide emotional range.
Do you have any particular music that you like listening to and playing?

Finzi and Copland are almost complete opposites. Finzi has a kind of English folky quality inspired by the earlier English music his predecessors wrote. Copland is VERY American. Based in jazz - the second movement of his concerto is heavily influenced by jazz.
