This has been in other forums, but I haven`t seen it here.
What is everyone`s favourite piece/s to play on the clarinet? At the moment mine are Spohr`s 2nd Concerto and the Finzi concerto. I played Rossini`s Introduction, Theme and Variations earlier this year; that piece is so much fun
I`m thinking of getting the Nielsen concerto, too. What does everyone else like to play?

Mozart and Bach. Oh, and most jazz/blues pieces such as Sing, Sing, Sing…if you are playing with other good players. Hate when trying to play something together with other players who can`t really play.

Mozart`s Clarinet Concerto should be part of every great clarinetist`s repetoire. The full orchestral piece is long, so don`t expect to learn it over night.

Yeah, the Mozart concerto is cool. But I`ve never understood why it is supposed to be so difficult to play well. I think that if the notes etc are there, then the musical effectiveness should follow.
