Well, if it`s your volume that you have problems with. Is it that you are too loud or too quiet? Not getting the right dynamics? You can always try to improve your embrochure or getting a better mouthpiece/ligature/reed combination.

i am too quiet. We`re playing this song in wind ensemble called the second suite in f by holst. In the second movement, there`s an oboe solo (song without words) but somehow it was transcribed to clarinet, and i was suppose to play it. but wth, it`s the whole band against a clarinet? half the flutes weren`t allowed to play because i was too soft. so embarassing. It`s a clarinet, not a trumpet. how can i play louder other than the usual air support stuff?

PUSH! hehe, faster air always helps the sound that comes out, the more you push the louder you go, and remember to not shy away from the note, try practacing infront of a mirror, ya know, just to make sure you have it right, that way when the time comes, you know that you have it down, and you wont mess up, so then you wont shy away from the notes! good luck!
