I haven`t made All-States here in Pennsylvania yet, but I was principle trumpet at the Orchestra festival this past weekend! I try out for All-State next month!

Hey Hayley, sorry i didnt get to see u at auditions, but i saw your name on the list that we had to sign. Your audition was a little before mine. I had to go at 3:54. How did you do on sightreading? OMG that big chromatic run in the 6/8 piece got me. Well at least I have my chair in Region Band reserved for me!

Hey guys! Sorry I didnt get to see you, but I was looking. Literally it was hard too, I couldnt keep up with the clarinetists.
How did you do? I did alright. Not the best, it was my nerves. I aced my scales and terms-but had a couple of glitches in my chromatic (STUPID ME)! My solo was `ok` too, wasnt the best/because knowing that I completly messed up on my chromatic-sucked! I got to the high `g` just fine, but the "simple" crap at the bottom, didnt cooperate with my fingers. My sightreading, was ok. Not the best. The 3/4 (I think it was, was pretty `medium` to me, and the 6/8 was actually better), the chromatic riff-wasnt that hard/because it didnt look at it that much...I just did chromatic fingerings to the bottom note. If you call that `good` than so-be-it, but it wasnt all that great for me. Im soo hard on my music these days. Again, sorry I couldnt find you guys. You should post your `email` on the forum here-so I can email you guys, because my email system doesnt work, if you email me; I wont get it if you do. Look forward to talking to you Rachel and Veronica!

Unfortunatly, I didn`t make it. I`m not sad though. This year was my first year ever trying out for All-State, so I`ll know what to expect next time. Have a great time at All-State Hayley.

Ya kno, for your first time-thats fine. Good job at making the call-backs tho; because there you beat a lot of others. Never give up, practice your scales tomorrow to prepare for next year. Next year will be better, because we dont have to learn anything new; maybe thats what got us sometimes. Get your E and B scales down-and you got it gurl! Scales and Terms, thats all you can do right now. Practice, Practice, Practice. And I look forward to seeing you next year at Lexington . Good luck and keep playing/btw...what region are you in? Maybe ill see you at region if it applies.
