first of all, if you want people to take you seriously don`t start your post with losers...not a smart move loser. joking! and i did read your post and you are right in a way. most are not that great, but have you ever thought why? or do you even know for sure that they sucked? most people don`t really know anything about the bass clarinet, they don`t understand the instrument. and most players probably "suck" cause they switched to bass from clarinet, not a smart move, different instrument. using clarinet techniques won`t really get you anywhere on bass until you actually have control of the instrument. and i find it strange that you find e flat hard. most clarinetists like playing it and say it`s easy cause notes are close unlike the bass. why do you think some clarinetists suck on bass as you put it...cause it is hard. hard to control and hard to play. not so difficult but as any instrument it has its difficulties. i suggest you get off that ego trip you are having and respect all clarinetists. we as musicians are always learning, yes some may be bad but everyone has to learn. i respect your opinion, just don`t call anyone loser... and how do i know all this, i`m majoring in bass clarinet in university.

Sorry, get lost, but I don`t think people will take you seriously because you tend to vocalize in a negative, disrespectful, and ignorant. I realize you probably aren`t trying to be that way, but mabye you ought to try constructive criticism to insults.

Currently, my bass clarinet is in disarray. The top threee keys have unscrewed themselves from the rest of the clarinet, and before when it was actually working it was making a rattling noise on low notes. What`s my problem and how can I fix it?

I have just started playing the bass clarinet and I
personally think it is the best thing that I have ever done. I switched from regular clarinet and I would have to agree with a lot of people that it is hard, but three of my friends and I think it it is so fun!

Anyone who thinks bass clarinets suck really suck. I enjoy playing it as much as a regular b flat clarinet. I also enjoy playing contra-alto and contra-bass.
