The Bass Clarinet is a unique, interesting, challenging and rich instrument. To those that think it is simply for reject clarinet players, you are all very much mistaken. It may be of the same family, but the Bass Clarient is a totally different instrument with its own challenges, and as players we have to overcome them. Look it dosen`t matter what opther think as long as you love your instrument and as long as you enjoy playing it. Lets just think for a moment, has anyone heard of Eric Dolphey. I mean just liten to some of his work if you havent already.

yea i have a bass clarinet friend and he`s really good..he made eastern district honors band and he wuz in honors band at our school... and i do find ur message insulting... and i think ur selfish to want to be first chair!! i mean lighten up... btw i`m first chair in out symphonic band!! ha!!

My brother plays the bass clarinet and he wasn`t put there because he sucked at playing...maybe the people you know just can`t play the bass clarinet properly, or maybe you`re just a jerk...i can`t tell...but do lay off it, okay?
