I`m thinking about trying this. It looks great and I really need to upgrade to something a bit better. I`m currently using Vandoren V12 reeds in 3 1/2. Do you think this would be good with this reed? Overal opinion?
Thanks!

I was just thinking about getting that ligature the other day and I`m between a 3 1/2 and a 4 Vandoren reed...I`ll let you know how it works out if I try it...

I play with a Vandoren Optimum Ligature, and I absolutely ADORE it. I take such good care of it that some of my friends have taken to teasing me (jokingly) about it. It definetly helps me to produce a beautiful sound, and I would never think of playing without it.

(See http://www.vandoren.com/Product/optlig.htm for those who don`t know about this).
I have seen this advertised via a leaftlet that came with my reeds. (I buy Vanadoren reeds by the box). To be honest, I thought it a bit gimicky having the interchangeable plates. However, I am happy to be proved wrong on this one.... how much of advbatge do you think it offers over conventional ligatures?

To me, it offers no advantage, as I continue to use my Bonade inverted ligature. If I did find it better, I would have switched.

I have one, but have found that it didn`t improve my sound at all. It doesn`t, however, leave scuff marks like my old unbranded ligature.
