I was just wondering if anyone on this forum is a full-time performer. I`m aiming for the classical clarinetists, not jazz, but it would be ok to hear from jazz as well. If not, are any of you interested in performing for a living?

I am. I know I have high hopes for myself coz getting a job somewhere prestigious is a big ask but I think that its good to have aspirations so that I work harder. What do you guys think?

I think that`s a great start....try looking around on college websites...or interviewing musicians in your area. It`s a great way to get advice. And also relize that being a performer is one of the hardest majors...i should know. do some research....lemme know what you find.
