I am doing a survey to satisfy my own curiosity.
What is your favourite piece of music

2. To listen to?
Why?

I`ve become really attached to David Holsinger`s Rondo, Hymnsong of Phillip Bliss, and American Faces, which is because it`s what I had in marching band.

Right now my favorite piece of music is Deerpath Dances by David Holsinger. Plus the clarinets have awesome parts to play in that piece

My favourite piece(s) to play is Malcolm Arnold - Sonatina. Its great fun and needs so much energy. But also the encore pieces Fancy Passing and Passing Fancy by Andre Previn. They are good fun and great as audience winners

My favourite piece(s) to listen to are: Debussy - Premiere Rhapsodie, Rossini - Introduction, Theme and Variations, Saint-Saens Sonata and, oh so there`s so many of them!!

My fav piece or pieces to play would be: the early Mahler symphonies. I also have a fondness for opera, so I would have to include too many opera to list here.

My fav list of pieces to listen to would incluide the former list, and especially Puccini operas.

To play for me would be Weber concertino or the Saint-Saens sonata, mostly just movement 4 on the last one (the other`s are ok but movement three is a drag)

To listen to, Copland concerto, especially the Gary Gray one, i sooo wanna go to UCLA and study under him

Now I am a jazz, swing fan and right now i focus on Ken Peplowski`s works as a clarinetist. If you are a Benny Goodman o Artie Shaw fan you might want to look him up.But i am not all about jazz, my favorite piece to play is Franz Schubert`s Unfinished Symphony. I like to listen to the piece Swan from Carnival of the animals.
