I have been playing violin for the past 10 years. I auditioned for a public arts school and was accepted. I am constantly seated in the back or corner in orchestra. I feel restrained and unable to express as freely as freely as everyone else in my class.

I took band and have been playing the clarinet for about 1 and a half years now. I was very behind in the band class because I had never learned the higher register notes or low notes. I stayed in band, feeling hopeless, but found out that I was doing really well! I was actually doing the best in the class of 50.

I decided that I want to go to university with the clarinet. Do you think its possible to make the switch? I have also quit the music program and joined the visual arts program. Do I have a chance?

Thank you!

If you really want to and really put your mind to it everything is possible, even things that seem less so.
