oh! i love the clarinet too! except that everyone else at my school seriously sucks. i`m fourteen and in the philharmonia orchestra of wyso (wisconsin youth symphony orchestra). so i really love playing too! and i named my clarinet cecilia! (she`s a leblanc concerto) i`m happy to hear that others love practicing too!

I play my clarinet when my parents have yelled at me or when im mad at someone and it really helps with that for some reason! I Love playing my clarinet! I think im kinda obsessed too! it really helps with stress so if you have stress go play your clarinet!!

Because I wondered if you realized how pathetic you sound and just didn`t care...My sister is awesome on clarinet and she`s going to Cleveland Institute of Music. You know what? She doesn`t spend her time posting stupid messages on a internet forum. She spends her time practicing! Thats why Frank Cohen thinks that shes the bomb. Its kinda shocking to see her and then read a post from people that are "supposedly" like her and to see the difference. Sorry to tick you off so horribly...

Some people come to these sites because you don`t have to live in a practice room. If you handle your business, you can spend at most three hours a day. Any more than that is making up for wasted practice. As far as getting into CIM, big deal. Whereas it is a good school, I assure you that it is not even the best school in the state of Ohio for clarinet.

Yes, I love the clarinet too! I am first chair out of 6 clarinets and I have a blast! I espically love MARCHING SEASON!! Marching band season is awesome!!

I definately practice a lot. I am first chair out of 11 clarinets. I play in marching band, concert band, orchestra and a professional polka band. I have a plastic and a wooden clarinet the plastic one is still a student but the wooden one is very old. It takes a lot of practice for what I do and if I could I would join jazz band but I just do not have the time.

chubs, if your school was like mine they usually have someone to come in and talk to you about it but if not some music stores will give private lessons.

Okay, I have been playing the clarinet for 7 years and I really enjoy it..and plan to go into music education..but do you all have a life? Because it seems like all you do is play the clarinet, which is great and all, but have a life!
