Should i join marching band?

Yeah, why not. You get into football games free, and it is fun.

same here i get into my football games for free instead of paying like 10 dollars. its fun

YES MY ALL MEANS JOIN MARCHING BAND!!!! it has been one of the most wonderful experiences of my life. you meet people you will NEVER forget, you get to go to ALL the football games which are fun as hell, plus free drinks and third period off! lol. competitions are a BLAST! but you will have the time of you LIFE! put aside the long hot summer practices, marching till ur legs are aching, long parades, cold football games, band camp... but trust me, you will never forget the upperclassmen. i could go on but i won`t. join marching band, u won`t regret it

YES! I love marching band! Footbal games, competitions, and a lot of fun! It is A LOT of work though which a lot of people don`t realize,(non band people LOL) It`s definitely worth it though! You learn a lot too...discipline, stuff about your instrument, ect. Anyways, GO FOR IT!

I think it is a great opportunity, but keep in mind, if u r playing one of those 30-40 pound drumsets all around town for parades and such, u will have to get used to this. The music is not nessacarily more difficult but must stay on a perfect rhythym, and beat. It will require extra work, but i definetly would.

in our school you have to be in marching band to be in band unless you play football. But you should ..it`s hard work but its a lot of fun

I agree...I would definintly join marching band! The season is almost over(tear) but it was sooooo much fun. I didnt realize this until competition when we did AWESOME! It`s loads of fun.

I always thought that marching band was the greatest. I looked up to the marching bands because I thought that it was cool and it really was. Epecially my freshman year when we got to go to Disney to march down main street there. That was a true blast. Copetitions are also a real blast even though the weather can get a little bad though. But for the most part the weather is not that bad. It is really worth it when you find out that you are State Champions like we found out this past chapionships. So in a nut shell yes I think that you should join and at least give it a try.

Yeah join...it gets exciting. This clarinet(during practice)fainted. This girl next to her stopped and slapped her. It didn`t work. Everyone was crowding around her until a tenor sax yelled at them to give her space. Yeah guys, crowding around a person who just fainted will help. It wasn`t like those faints u see in the movies, but she just fell back. I saw her, I thought she was just lying in the grass. Pretty stupid to think of that. I know.

I am a freshman and i`m in LHS marching band and it is a new experience. I have more friends than I have ever had!!!!!! I love it and band nerds are awesome!!!Good Luck and you will NEVER regret it. But do know its not all about the free admission into the football games and do know it will mean work and LOTZ OF IT!

Definatly JOIN! Its such a great thing to get into, and the competitions are a blast! PLus you get to meet tons of friends and playing music is just down right fun. So just JOIN!

I HATE marching band.....I hated it so much I didnt sign up for band for this year. But since I am 1st chair wind ensemble, he made a deal with me: I dont have to do any marching stuff, as long as I do concert season for them. And of course I choose that. So while everyone else is having a 7:00 am practice and competions every saturday starting this week to christamas, I get to sleep in and do stuff here at home! Haha! I love it!
