Take it easy, do not blame your instrument if you get things wrong, take a deep breath instead. Most important: Enjoy.
Do not expect it to be easy, then you will get nowhere and do build up a good practice routine with scales and so on. Always keep a bunch of playable reeds ready since they will probably be broken easily in the beginning. Also listen to the clarinet, listen for things to improve and then start improving them.
Something more specific you want to know?

It`s good that you`re learning clarinet. The embochure (spelling?) is definitely different than oboe from what I figure. I`d just say, get a teacher so that you get good technique. It`s not that hard of an instrument (I learned enough from May 18 to August something a few years ago to get into my school band and play all the pieces and they seemed hard at the time. Now, almost my fourth year, and I`m able to play pretty much anything in band with practice, sometimes right away if I know the song and 1st clarinet has melody. Just keep practicing, listen to tone, support, etc. Practice, Practice, Practice! That`s the key, and desire to play it. Don`t give up because if you can play oboe, you can play clarinet. Hope you do well.
