Ok...I`m an advancing clarinettist(first chair region) going into the 9th grade. For solo and ensemble, I played Fughetta from the Five Baggetelles by Finzi and got a one. Does anyone hove any suggestions on a piece I could play this summer? Something challenging, but that I could play on my own, since my lesson teacher doesnt teach in the summer. Thanks for the help.
Luv alwayz,

If you liked Fughetta, do you want something similar? If you do, I would thoroughly recommend William Hurlstone - 4 Characteristic Pieces. They`re not phenomenally difficult and I love them - they`re really nice to play. Or alternately, try something like the Saint-Saens sonata or Busoni Elegie. The list can go on forever.
