Hi!
Where can I find the COMPLETE (not revised, arranged, etc.)clarinet parts to movies. I know that they must exist on the market because orchestras (with clarinets) perform movie soundtracks frequently. I do not expect to be able to downlowd the pieces for free and am willing to order a hard copy from a company.
I have been searching googe for hours!
Thanks!

Most of these parts are by rental only. If you are referring to old movies with classical scores, you may be able to purchase the parts from Luyben Music. But to obtain a John Williams or Hans Zimmer piece- good luck. Like I said, these are rental only and would cost hundreds upon hundreds of bucks to get the rights to use it for a weekend. You might be lucky enough to find a pro in your area that has something, but to find something particular is a difficult challenge.

Yeah most modern stuff isn`t available for purchase but every now and then you find your diamond in the rough. JWPepper (very big, national sheet music distributor) has for sale (or at least did during this academic year) the complete version of Call of the Champions. Call of the Champions was written by John Williams for the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics in 2002. We bought it for our orchestra and choir and seriously rocked one of the most accoustically perfect performance venues on the continent. It`s an interesting part. Not as hard as you`d think, but not as easy as it looks just from glancing over it. So, sometimes you`ll have to look for the piece with all the parts for orchestra and see if you can order just one part as a "replacement part" for a "lost original". It`s not like they`re going to check or anything, that`s just what it`s listed as and why.
Another option might be to buy just the score for a piece and pull the clarinet off of it. For Christmas a few years back I was given a full copy of the score to The Planets. So, I don`t have the clarinet part per se, but if I wanted I could sit down and write it out or punch it into my computer. Check Borders, Barnes & Noble, and music stores for stuff like that.
Good luck.
