wow first time on this forum and im amazed at how good people are. playing the mozart concerto w/ ease, haha i wish i could do that
so im wondering...how old are some of you guys? i mean in high school, college?
oh yea, and this forum motivates me to start practicing real hard (something i havent done for....oh a year or two...hehe)

im 15, and im in 10th grade. i have been playing clarinet since 5th grade, and right now im fourth chair in my schools top band. i heart band, especially woodwinds, expecially clarients

I played only when I was 15. I was accepted into a Military Band with a really hard-nosed conductor. Funny thing is I never played the clarinet before, except to sneak my sister`s clarinet, for about 2 years altogether. She got the clarinet, and I got the Oboe when I was 13. I found the Clarinet was a very friendly instrument - had no trouble with it. I mean that humbly and constuctively. Only reason I quit was to play guitar. But 30 - 40 years later (omigosh!) I love to pick up a Sax occasionally and give it a blast. Strat man Dwight

I am 17 and in 11th grade. I started playing when I was in 3rd grade. So this is my ninth year playing. I own three clarinets. Two plastic ones. One for rainy weather during marching band. One for Nice weather for marching band and concert band. Also one wooden one that I use for indoor performences. I play in Marching band, Concert band, Full orchestra, and I also play in a professional polka band. If you really want a challenge you should try the clarinet polka. It is alot of fun. Might be a little hard but it is alot of fun.

cool - myself, i`ve been playing since 5th grade. I was realy into it for 2 years, then 3rd, 4th year i just kind of played around w/ it. And the last two years as a sophomre and junior high school, i started to pick it up again. Hopefully i`ll make the county band this month...
