honestly - kids! grow up. you need to open your eyes - wake up and smell the sunshine cuz ur livin in a dream world. there are loads of other clarinet players - there`s always someone better than you! keep ur ego in check.

Someone was talking about before how if you rent from the school you won`t have a low C Bass Clarinet....

I rent from my school, and I know that it atleast goes to a low D. I found that key. I`m just not sure if it goes to a C. I asked my director what the extra key was for, and he said that it probley made it lower. He`s a brass player (tuba and trombone) so he didn`t know. I was wondering if any of you knew if it could just got to D?

You can only play a low D on some Bass Clarinets, the ones that have extentions on them. They go down to a low c, it`s on the back where your F key, register key, it`s under the f key.

I play alto clarinet and I`m only 4`11

the regular bflat clarinet has the same fingerings as the bass. i played the soprano, alto and bass clarinet. sopranio and bass are based in the same key. the only difference is that the bass clarinet has an extra low e flat. but if u get something like a contrabass clarinet then the notes go lower and the regular clarinet fingerings dont help.

I`m a freshmen in highschool and just started the Bass Clarinet. Its pretty easy. But I can`t get any notes on a octive higher than an A. I`m not sure what to do.

I`ve played the Bflat Clarinet for 3 years and have had 1st chair in my class for most of the 3 years...But the bass is more complix.

Hi, I`m playing The Sleeping Beauty Waltz by Tschaikowsky and it goes up to a high C, I know how to finger it, but all I am getting is squeaks. I can hit high B just fine, but any tips or suggestions would be wonderful. Oh, btw it is really nice to see that so many other people apprieciate the bass clarinet. And yes, I`m not in eighth grade, rather I`m a junior and have been playing for 6 years. Just to prove that it doesn`t matter how long you have been playing, it is just what you usually play.

Well gess wut i play the oboe, CLARINET and the bassoon and gess wut i have a frend who plays bass clarinet and she is so much better than u say u r!!! Cuz u better not b disin the rest of us BASS clarinets cuz weev never heard u PLAY! SO be quiet AND SILENTLY PLAY YOR BASS CLARINET CUZ WE DONT WANA HEAR YA!!

Bass Clarinet is so freaking awesome! If you blow really hard to make a squeaky sound it makes a noise that sounds like a goose! I am better than all of you at bass clarinet.
