i have a selmer series 9 clarinet with the serial number u2941 and id like to know what year it was made, if anyone has access to this information, please let me know. thanks.

When I got my Buffet R13 appraised after my father gave it to me I was told that it dated back to the 1930s.

According to the books we have at the store I work at, your horn was made in either 1965 or 1966.

When I wanted to know more about my Buffet I emailed the company and they came back with all kinds of information for me. (Buffet R13, manufactured in November of 1982...all from the serial number).

They even tell you how to get the info.
