New clarinet: Buffet E11 or R13?

I`ve only being playing for a few years and now want to upgrade from my awful plastic student clarinet to a `proper` wooden one.
Musical instruments in Italy are a complete rip-off, so I`ll be buying from the UK via the internet. I`ve just seen some second-hand instruments for sale: an E11 for 550 pounds and R13 for 650 pounds.
Both have an excellent reputation. Can anyone give advice about which to choose? As far as reviews go, there`s not a huge difference between them.
Thanks,
Steve

Personally I prefer to try the instruments before I make the decision as to whether I am going to buy them or not. I also went looking for a wooden one that I could use for playing in a professional polka band. I went to a few stores but they would not let you play any of them. Then I went to a store that was about 1/2 and hour from my house and they allowed me to try out the instruments of my choice. I tried all the professional Buffets that they had and I personally though that the Buffet R-13 Festival was the best one.

Aren`t Buffet RC`s more popular in Britain/Europe? I would go with the R13 totally though. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice. Yes, I think I`ll look at the R13s.

No problem. When I went to get it I was also told that the RC was the repaimans favorite one. I still found the Festival to be better for what I was using it for.

R13s are pro models. If you want a good pro model, get an R13.
