been playin about 2 months and my open note is an F. Im not sure if thats right or what....? but I need some help.

Its a Selmer Bundy.

umm... keep in mind that the clarinet is a transposing instrument. a concert F is a G on the clarinet.

1. If you`re a beginner, your embochure could be really loose and making it play a F.
2. Check the springs (I have had a undone spring that caused my clarinet to play the wrong note)
3. Have someone else (a teacher or someone that you know is a better player than you) test it out and see if they have the same problem.
4. Take it to the shop
5. If it still sucks:

TRASH IT AND BUY A NEW CLARINET!

Well maybe your obicore is to lose or your reed is loose or to low! I started clarinet 2 yrs ago and trust me it was hard you will get through it!

i dont know about if there is a difference w/ reeds but i usualy keep mine 1/2 mm below the tip of the mouth piece (from eye level

hi well i have been playing for goin on 5 yrs and well g is the open note not f and it will take awhile but u will get the hang of it.i am teching my friend how to play the clarinet but well she is doin great . well i guess if u ever need help just e-mail me.
