for homo marrage? or against? He`s against abortion, like every christian should be.

I am against abortion! But I`m not against omosexual marriage, and he is.
I am also for the pre-wedding sexual relationships, and of course I`m for anticonceptionals use (if not abortive)! Benedetto XVI isn`t, but it`s ok... he`s a Pope, of course he isn`t!
If you are catholic, then you don`thave to make love if you are not married, no way. But very few of us respect this. It`s a nonsense! I say us, but I`m not catholic (I make love! I`m a little sinner!), just grown up in a catholic country and know very very well all the church things.

I just hope he won`t be too strict, because I don`t want to go back to medioeval times!

I`m against abortion as well. I don`t see why people should have pre-marital sexual relationships .. why should they? I must say the more conservative, the better. Sounds great to me. I think things should be based more on moral values anyways .. and some things are just wrong. Anyways .. I think he`ll do fine and dandy.

I can`t understand... if you love a person and you can`t marry him in a year or two (I can marry when I`ll have a degree, that is very far from now) why do you have to wait to give him all your love? To explore your and his sexuality? I`m studying to become a psychoanalist so I am for free sexual life, sure, in the respect of the other... I don`t think it`s immoral, it`s just sweet, it`s just love, and knowledge...!
Anyway, if I can`t have sex with my boyfriend it`s ok, it seems that I`m not a catholic. But how much are catholics people who go to the church every sunday (I do it anyway `cause I like it and I play music for the celebrations) and pray, and don`t have sex, and give a little money for the "poor niggers" in Africa, if then they treat bad people they meet along the road, or their neighbours or people who ask them help?

Ok I make love with the man I love, and I like very much ga.ys, and I like italian language in church instead latin because I think our people should understand everything... but I know the Bible, I know the rituals, I had the sacraments, I work in a community for people with disease, I touched the desperation and the death, I am for the human beeing rights, for the life! I don`t tink I`m less christian than others who just talk, talk, talk, and do anything really christian.
You don`t remember? Christ said "there are only two laws: love God and love the others" and Sant`Agostino said: "love, and do what you want". He is a saint, not a common guy... he knew what he said.

Think also about the fact that you are phisically distant from the Pope, we have him in the same country... Vatican is a very very small state into the city of Rome, I can see Pope in an hour or two if I want... that means that he is very influent!
(But never too much Giovanni Paolo II didn`t want the war but for our government it was "necessary"... necessary, a war!? Bah...)

heheh... yea, i`ve kinda noticed that in america, if you`re a conservative, you`re a hard core conservative.. haha... as you can probably tell from some of our policies, even if canada is 56% catholic (or something), we`re a pretty lax country... heheh... the only reason i tihnk having a conservative pope is a bad idea at the moment is b/c there are so many problems going on that must be addressed. we`re getting a shortage of priests b/c no one wants to carry the burdens associated with priesthood anymore. i guess in this day and age, people admire celebs more than our priests, so priesthood isn`t a very desireable job anymore. this must be done to encourage more people into priesthood. another thing is the problem with contraceptives. sure, pre-marital sex is a no-no but when you discourage the use of contraceptives you increase the risk of AIDS, which is a huge problem in africa, a continent whose catholic population has double in 20 years. this problem must be solved because in turn, more and more people are being put at risk, and people shouldn`t have to live with aids. =/ there are a lot more issues i`d rather not touch. haha. but on the topic of abortion, well, i`m against abortion, upon the extent of rape. if you chose to have consensual sex with someone and you knew the consequences, you should take care of the baby. if you were raped, then it might be difficult for the mother, say if she was too young to support a child.

I agree with you on most of those points, at least from what you chose to type. Thats kindof why I wanted a more conservative Pope; because a lot of bad moral changes are taking place. However, I do recognize that TO AN EXTENT, times are changing.
