Hello there!

I just started oboe a few weeks ago using a rented buffet. I really like it and have decided to continue with it. What would you suggest as a reasonably priced oboe which will last me a long time. Also, I have a discount at Pascal Veraquin because I rented my oboe from them, so I want to try and buy one from them. They carry the following brands:LORÉE, BUFFET-CRAMPON, FOX/RENARD, RIGOUTAT and FOSSATI. They carry the following student brands: CABART - STRASSER - TIERY - RENARD - DELPHINE - RIEC and Buffet.

I know very little about oboes so I really need your help. Thanks!

If you want to go with a resonite/plastic oboe, go with either the fox/renard 330, or 333. If you want a wood instrument, go with the buffet 410/411, or RIEC, hope this helps
