Well, Sparkles, I`ve never played a Yamaha either. ...that I remember. I`ve played on a Covey, Selmer Pro., Selmer Beginner, Buffet, and one other that I can`t remember .. dang it. Could have been a Yamaha? lol .. I dunno.

I noticed someone was asking about Yamaha oboes. I play on a Yamaha 411. It is my second oboe and much better than the one i started on (a selmer). I like my oboe it has a good clear sound and plays dark. It is a full conservatory model and it is wood. I`ve also played on Yamaha student models which are as good as student models come. Hope that was some help

Would like to note that he`s played on Yamahas before...didn`t like `em too much. Mostly because they were forking plastic...Anyway, I`m ATTACHED to my Loree. They`re the best in my mind. Yes. Loree all the way!
