Check to see if all your keys are down or up, because the spring on one of my key is broken, and it was open when it was supposed to be closed so I couldn`t get a normal sound out so I have to go get it fixed

I had the same promblem once. One of the pads came out. So as Riki said, check the oboe for non-working parts.

It could also just be the reed in general, but you never know. It wouldn`t be a bad idea though just to let a oboe tech. look it over.
