I need to know what are good brands for a beginner oboe? I will be looking in the $1000 range. My parentsd have already bought me 2 saxophones so this time I have to get the money myself. Also, what are good brands of reeds?

That is the best clarinet forum on earth.
There you will find an oboe forum as well. I can`t give you an exact link because I don`t play the oboe, but it`s there somewhere. If you can`t find it, just ask.
