Hey. I know all of you have a lot of talent and passion for the oboe, or else you wouldn`t be here discussing these topics, right? So I was wondering... Different people worry about different matters when auditioning. Of course, it all revolves around how confident you are, how much you`ve practiced, the difficulty of the piece, your reeds, etc. But what are YOU usually most concerned about in an audition?

it depends on how familiar i am w/ the piece and the type of audition it is, but i usually am worried about MESSING UP. since my teacher doesnt allow me to be that negative, she tells me to concentrate on my breathing, since it tends to be irregular when im nervous

I worry about messing up most of the time, depending on how familiar I am with the piece, but I also worry about getting the dynamics down. Some people like them exagerated (I know I didn`t spell that right) and others like them more subtle.
