I was looking on the net and found a buffet halbautomatik oboe so i was wondering if any one knows what a halbautomatik is.

Semi-automatic (and halbautomatik) only refer to the octave keys. Semi-automatic is what most americans prefer, where the first octave vent is closed automatically when the second octave key is pressed. A fully automatic system (vollautomatik) opens the second octave vent automatically for notes above top line G#, even when only the thumb-octave key is pressed.
