In reply to AM`s question, you are never to old to to learn a musical instrument. I started to learn to play the oboe at 46years old ``YES`` 46, having never played a woodwind before in my life, only piano, I also learnt from home as there are no oboe teachers anywhere near my home town. I am now 52 and with my cousin who is a concert pianist we go to different function, with him doing the piano accompanyment while I play the oboe.. So no matter what age you are if you practice hard and don`t give up then you can learn a musical instrument at any age.......
