OMG the school swapped my selmer oboe for a Buffet oboe which they just bought for me .. so happy!! so yeah i got this new Buffet Oboe, but i dont know if dey`re generally good?.. my teacher said they`re nice instruments.. i`ve been playing it for a bit today, and it does sound a bit clearer and more "pretty" haha.. but mayb thats just my reeds... but yeah, can enyone tell me about buffet oboes?..

You are lucky. They swapped our Buffet for a plastic Selmer.

I live in Israel... Here there is almost nobody can repair your oboe ,espessially if it cracks.This is on of the reasons i boght a greenline. It also very sweet sounding oboe with a good projection.It also relatively cheap
around Eu 5000.

Hi, I play a Buffet BC 4057 full automatic and love it i've played it for 7 yrs as a hobby through to 8th grd but unfortunately do not have time any more,

but would highly recommend buffet as a good quality student oboe
