Okay, then, get involved with as much music as you can. Then high school comes around, join marching band, gain experience then try out for drum major. That would look really good as you want to conduct. Then sophomore year of High school begin college searches as far as musical education. Contact colleges/universities/musical conservatories and at the same time, get as much musical experience as possible. Just need to talk to different programs at universities and colleges, see what you like! It is all research my friend and participation

*Points to above post.* YES.

Also, make yourself known to said colleges - advertise yourself. If you`re good, and give a great audition, it`ll help with scholarships and stuff as well. As far as being a teacher, when you get into college, join the band program as a Music Education major. You`ll be certified in EVERY instrument imaginable, from Strings to Percussion.
