I`m a 3rd year student at Birmingham Conservatoire and I`ve started making my reeds from scratch.

Does anyone know where I can get REALLY cheap tube cane? I mean not all cane goes to oboists! There must be supplies that are cheaper but meant for different things!

My mum reckons I should just make reeds out of runner bean climbing cane but I don`t think it would work! haha. Any ideas like this that would work would be brill!
