hey..well you see...in my school orchestra i'm the 2nd oboist..and the 1st oboist is a guy...well..he asked me out about 2 weeks ago..and now he cant get over me..he keeps staring at me during rehearsals..giving me all the solo parts...and sometimes not playing just to look at me...
our conductor is scolding him for not paying attention, not playing etc.
he's a realy good oboe player...but one day he said to me "I dont need my oboe if i have you..."
now the school orchestra is a wreck without him i keep playing wrong notes etc. my friends think i should stop dating him...but..i..dont know what to do!! he's so..cute >.< what shud i dO???

Well, if you are dating him, use that "power" to your advantage. If he stops playing to look at you, tell him to pay attention and start playing or you'll be angry with him. It's not wrong to date someone in your section (though I've never done it...I instead am dating a tuba player...hmm...2nd highest in the score to 2nd lowest in the score...interesting) as long as it doesn't effect the band. At this point, if he's this obsessed with you, it would be worse (I think) to break up with him than to keep dating him.
And Mr. Oboe Boi...you are a rude, arrogant person. Just because her question doesn't have to do with oboe technique or the instrument itself doesn't mean it isn't important.
