Is it odd if I practice for 400 or more minutes a week? People keep calling me a nerd when they see my practice card.
Hmmm... I find that to be a compliment actually. But back to the point. How long do you usually practice the oboe per week?

I practice a little more than you. I practise about 100 minutes every week day.

i only practice 20 minutes a day. I'm not profesional or anything Just a learner. I alsow have to practice my other instruments

I don't really practice anymore, since I play bassoon in band now. Every once in a while I'll take Elmer (my oboe) out and play a ditty. Yes, I named my oboe.

if u think 400 minutes a week is weird.. i practice 675 a week... and i'm onlyy going to the 7th grade!! almost everyday 2 hrs

i try keeping it versatile so i play anywhere between an hour to 3 hours daily,

Don't listen to the people calling you a nerd, they are just sad people probably jealous of your ability to play the oboe. Ignore them, you'll rise above them and they'll eventually wish they practised as much as you on their instrument (are these people musical or not).

Oboe is a summer project for me. I'm practicing about 4 hours a day, It's super fun!

I play about an hour every day...some days even 2 or three hours...hey band geeks are the best students!
