The sound of oboe`s is familiar to a duck`s.That what my classmates used to say when i first started playing the oboe. But now it doesn`t seem that way.

A beginner oboe does sound like a duck. But an experienced player doesn`t sound anything like that. Please specify )

Well, 2 french horns that sat behind me in class would always say that my oboe sounded like a sheep. They would go around and Baa at me. My music teacher calls my oboe a duck, but that is only because I had to play the duck solo in Peter and the Wolf.
