Hi all--
I posted a few days ago looking for info about my mother`s childhood oboe, but it turns out I had lots of info wrong! Oops.
It was purchased new in NYC 42 years ago. It is full range, wood, and says BARKLEE on the lower piece. It has been long neglected and requires an estimated $500 in repair just to play it to see how its held up--the pads are all dried out, of course, etc. She wants to donate it to our local school music program or maybe sell it, but her local music store couldn`t identify the maker and therefore assess if it`s worth the repairs....any info would be great.
