Ok so I'm getting braces in two days and I'm worried that getting braces will change my playing, I just got into my all district band and I want to be ready to play the concert and everything. Does anyone have any tips or advice on how to overcome the braces?

dont fret too much. For a day or two your braces will be really uncomfortable so i would advise not to do too much practice if your mouth is too sore. After the pain has gone try just blowing your reed. Try and pinpoint the places that your braces might be sticking into your lip. Apply dental wax on those places. Then continue with your practice. If your braces start hurting stop playing and continue later.
