Another new oboist!

Another new oboist! 22:14 on Thursday, February 28, 2008

Well I just thought I'd say that I've just started learning oboe and it's AWESOME! I started 10 days ago. I'm a flautist, and even though the embouchures completely different, it's going pretty well. I LOVE the sound of the oboe when it's played well, I hope that one day I'll be able to!

(Off to practice now :D).

You lucky duck. Oboe is truly a crazy adventure (sometimes a little too crazy..but oboists are hard core)

Get out before it is too late. You will come to hate... HATE oboe reeds... and even the mention of reed making or such, depending on how far you divulge into the oboe sub-culture and lifestyle. Yes, it will take over your life.
