does anyone elses feathers "shed"? mine get little feather pieces all over me, but they luckily dont stay in my oboe.... does that make any sense at all?

I have a feather which I used until my swap arrived. Only problem was that the feather got really wet and stuck together so how to clean your feather? Maybe I just produce a lot of spit, yuk! Once I can figure out how to get the feather to look like a feather again I may go back to it – there are plenty of turkeys where I live so no shortage of feathers!
