Wow. It'll be hard for me to find new reeds cause the local music stores only carrie Jones and Emerald, but I hate Emerald reeds and currently use Jones. Maybe this is a sign to tell me to start making my own reeds.

The reason there are no more Rico reeds is that Jones made those too. Best out there that I have found are Lesher and Emerald and Fox. My students use them, and I also play them in several local orchestras. You can buy a lot of different reeds from Advantage USA. Try .com for them and it should come up.
Don't be timid about trying all brands. You may find something that works for you. It takes several years of learning to make reeds to become "reed independent" so in the meantime at least there are options.

You can buy hand-made reeds online; they're usually much better anyway. Oxford reeds are my current favorites. Check out reedreviews.net for information about reed suppliers.

I like Dunkel reeds. They take a while to break in but last quite a while.

My place even harder to find..n expensive too..so, i buy them from my teacher (he makes his own)..i think, the best way is to learn to make our own reeds..but for me, i'll have to spend lots of money for that purpose (import the cane n the tools)
