I'm buying a used Loree and the case isn't in the best of shape.

I'd like to see what cases other people like, and why.

Some cases I'm looking into:

Loree Oboe Case

Bam Trekking Oboe Case

Bam Egg shaped Oboe Case

I've heard good things about Bam cases. I have a Protec case for my flute and piccolo and I love it so much I'm buying one for my oboe. It's got a hardshell inner part with the nylon outer. It's up to personal preference, but I really recommend any case that has either an outer part with a zipper or something with a latch that locks down. I remember having a flute in a regular case spilling onto the concrete because the flat latch came open. Horrible experience.

Yeah, the Bam sure looks nice =].

And for 1/3 the cost of a Loree case with case cover... Hehe!

Oh, and it has a sheet music pocket... It's looking good for now!

I personally like the BAM trekking, becuase they seems to have all you needs, and have a nice music pocket as well.

1/3 the cost you say... =O cheap!

Yeah, for a Loree case it's $375 + Case cover is $150 = $525 + tax

When a Bam is 190$ So that's 64% cheaper.

a girl at my school was using the school oboe and it spilled out of the case... the poor oboe...

but a real horror story, was this girl was climbing on the bus and her flute fell out of the case... it got run over it was horrible

so just make sure your case wont open up when u dont want it to:D
